The articulated arm gate motor adapts to all materials (iron, aluminium, wood, PVC, etc.). They require more space than linear screw motors, but are also faster. Finally, this system preserves the structure of the gate, respecting the natural movement of opening.
Somfy Axovia®, Evolvia®, Lockyvia® motors are, for example, arm motors. The Axovia® motorization is offered by a professional, while the Evolvia® and Lockyvia® motorizations are available on our online store or in a DIY store.
They are particularly suitable for heavy gates, such as those made of steel. They are also suitable for a small space or a strong exposure to the wind. However, this type of motorization represents more installation constraints than a manual motor.
Somfy Ixengo®, Exavia®, SGS motors are, for example, cylinder motors. Ixengo® motorization is offered by a professional and you will find Exavia® and SGS motors on our online store or in a DIY store.
The motor is invisible and thus preserves the aesthetics of your gate. It can be used for all types of gate: interior, exterior or slope opening!
However, it cannot be purchased separately from the gate as it is integrated directly into the gate structure during manufacture.

Somfy Elixo®, Slidymoove® and Freevia® motors may be suitable for this type of gate. You can buy it in our online store or in a DIY store.
The motor integrated in the guide post of the sliding gate is invisible and thus preserves the aesthetics of your gate. It is compatible with all types of gates (on rail, self-supporting or telescopic). This type of motorization is integrated into a new gate and therefore cannot be sold separately.
The Somfy Roly® Smart io motorization is, for example, an integrated motor. You can buy it from a professional.
