This is one of our favourite wooden gate installations and is featured on the front cover of our brochure and in our wooden gate gallery on our website.
The gates are constructed using traditional handmade techniques; the gates are fully ledged and braced with mortise and tenon joints.
The material used is West African Mahogany or Sapele and is fully stained using a top quality exterior grade stain such as Sadolin or Sikkens.
The key features are the steel posts which have been over cladded with matching timber board. This method hang gates is superior to timber only posts, the steel box section posts will not split, twist, warp or rot underneath ground level and will help the deal with rigors regular gate use. Having the steel posts overclad with matching board really sets the whole gate off well.
The gates are operated by FAAC 412 rear surface mounted arms and operated via remote control hand transmitters and wireless radio frequency intercom with built in keypad, also the remotes have been set up to work the gates and the garage door by means of compatible radio receiver kit.
A later edition to the other side boundary was a matching pedestrian gate with security code lock.
