OverviewOur client had limited driveway access and space at the rear of their garden. To maximise space we specified a single leaf gate to slide back behind the perimeter wall on a bolt down steel track. Other key requirements were security and low maintenance, to achieve this we recommended a sliding gate constructed from extruded aluminium with a factory applied powder coat finish.

The gate style was also important as can be seen from the photograph the top of the gate has a gentle curved top rail and includes stylish chevron infill panels. The colour chosen was a standard RAL colour, however there are a range of wood grain finishes to choose from.

The gate is automated by a heavy duty sliding gate motor with built in safety and photocell beams. It is operated via remote control hand transmitters in the semi-automatic mode i.e. one pulse to open and one pulse to close.

All civil works such as concrete foundations, post holes, ducting and power supply requirements were carried out but others. AGD Systems supplied, installed and commissioned the gate system.

The overall result is a stylish, practical, safe and easy to use gate system with low maintenance requirements.
