AGD was contacted with an enquiry to change an existing six metre access barrier for a plant hire company to restrict access to the rear storage area.
With photos and a conversation agd was able to identify the existing barrier and quote for a direct replacement. This quote was accepted and converted into a live job. The barrier was ordered with a six metre red and white beam to include red and green LED lighting and a safety edge to the bottom of the beam that would stop and return the beam to its upright position should it come into contact with any obstacle during its closing cycle. Agd attended site and after signing in and site inductions were complete they continued to remove the old barrier and beam after isolating the power. The new barrier was then bolted down to the existing concrete pad and wired to the original power supply and intercom connections.
The beam was then installed and LED lighting connected, the safe edge was then fitted and connected along with the tension wire connected between the end of the beam and the beam support to provide support for the beam and reduce sagging.
After checking all installed parts the power was then restored, the control board setup with its on-board self-learning cycle. Safety was then tested and LED lighting confirmed working in the correct sequence, red when closed, red flashing when opening and green when fully open. A customer demonstration was then completed and all paperwork signed to complete the handover.
