Technical Surveys
We welcome clients who can provide digital images and key dimensions, this will assist us in providing you with a more accurate budget cost and specification – and helps us both to manage our time efficiently and hopefully reduce travelling time/costs. If you can’t, please don’t worry!

Once you have established that our products, services and budget costs are in line with your expectations, please contact us by phone or by email to arrange a site survey.

What does an on site survey achieve?

A site survey will enable us to meet with you to discuss and understand all your requirements and enable us to provide an accurate specification and summary of cost options.

We can bring with us any appropriate product brochures and Case Study Portfolios to demonstrate what we can achieve for your project.

What does the surveyor record the survey sheet?

Once the proposed entrance position has been reviewed and an overall customer design brief is established, the surveyor will note down the following details (this is not exhaustive):-

  • Key dimensions of opening, noting any slopes/gradients
  • Note any potential hazards
  • Distance from the highway
  • Distance to the house
  • Driveway surface
  • Condition and suitability of existing gates/piers/posts
  • Provision of a suitable power supply
  • Type of gate – swing or slider
  • Gate material/finish/design style/
  • Type of automation – underground or surface mounted
  • Type of safety devices
  • Access Control Options
  • Scope of Works to be carried out by third parties
